Books about triplets
“The Triplets” tells the story of triplet sisters. Sara, Marie and Jenn are very different from each other. They have different hobbies and interests, and they look different, too. Jenn, who has cerebral palsy, faces more problems than her sisters, though, and is much more restricted in the things that she can do and experience. As we follow her to physical therapy, school, and life, we learn about her hopes and dreams; we begin to understand the challenges that she must face each day. Jenn has fun and dreams of big things; she has a mind of her own! Colorfully illustrated by Breki Bjornsson, author Hildur Bjarnadottir’s son, “The Triplets” is based on the life of a trio of sisters who live in Minnesota. Written to shine a light on the lives of children with disabilities, “The Triplets” offers readers a chance to understand some of the challenges that face someone with cerebral palsy.
